Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is an evolving and scalable structure, composed of active Mayors or their legal political representatives. It is a committee that is representative and balanced at the global level, including members from all major regions of the world and observers from most relevant organisations.
This board helps the Chair and Vice-Chair cities to define the content and implement the Action Plan (incl. Task Groups) and other activities agreed on by the General Assembly.
The Steering Committee is elected every two years and has been lately elected in November 2010 for the period 2010 - 2012. The Chairman, the treasurer and the Secretary-General are elected for a four-year term, this means they are appointed until November 2014.
