On 27 & 28 August, the Mayor of the city of Viña del Mar (Chile), Ms Virginia Reginato Bozzo as GCD Vice-President for Latin America, welcomed in her city the participants of the first regional GCD-meeting in 2009. During this event the current activities of the GCD network and its objectives were presented to the interested cities.

The attendees were informed about innovative applications and projects implemented by GCD-members and discussed further developments on the Information Society. The draft agenda can be found here as pdf.
