The Global Cities Dialogue Wishes You a Happy New Year!

The Chairman of the Global Cities Dialogue, Mayor Paul Helminger and the members of the Steering Committee convey their best wishes for the New Year. They thank all members, partners and individual and corporate visitors of the website for their interest and their precious cooperation and support during the last twelve months.

GCD is looking forward to continuing the fruitful partnership with people and institutions dedicated to the information society and to developing new ones in 2011. GCD will futher commit itself to promoting a fair access to digital information and useful public services. GCD is ready to take up new challenges and tackle the issues the Steering Committee will focus on in 2011-2012: digital solidarity, ICT & local government, green IT and ICT for public services. 

The action plan of the Global Cities Dialogue foresees several Task Groups and events to take place in 2011. The Spring Summit 2011 to be held in Cologne on 21&22 February will open the series of conferences and activities in the new year. Let's make together a tremendous year out of 2011! See you in Cologne!
